Mexico reigns at La Copa Mundial!

Today, Mexico played against Iran...and won. It was an excellent match. Both teams played offense and boy was it good! In the end, Mexico had 3 goals to Iran's 1 goal. Although Iran played really really really well, I really wanted the Mexicans to win. I like the Mexicans. they are hard working people and in S. Florida, we see a lot of them everyday. With the country in the midst of an immigration battle against mostly the Mexicans, and a cold nuclear war against Iran, it was hard to say which country the US commentators wanted to win. It was clear of one thing though, the Mexican team was strong. Oswaldo Sanchez, the goalkeeper, played even though he had just came from his father's funeral. I watched the funeral on Friday on the latin news station. I've found that i learn a lot about the game when i watch the spanish networks. Tomorrow the US plays against the Czech Republic. I will hope for the US to win. After all, I do live here and this country is my home now.
