What a kick!!!! What a comeback!!!!! The Socceroos win this one!

Well I am anticipating the game today at noon. The US will play against the Czech Republic. I want the US to win. While waiting for that game, there is a game on right now. I am listening but not really watching. Australia is playing against Japan. The score is Japan: 1, Australia, nil. Now this is how Japan scored. There is a bunch of players, Japanese, crowding around the Aussie goalee and he seems to be blocked in the middle of them with his hands in the air. Then, from the middle right of the field, this one little Japanese guy kicks the ball and it lands/halfway rolls into the goal.....and i stood there for a little..it was unreal...and i said, "Holy Sh*t!!!!!"
That was a good one. This goal was almost as good as when the guy from Ecuador butted the ball into the goal after it bounced off on of his teammate's head!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this game. I guess the talk of the town here is the weekend match. The Mexicans are bubbling/teeming with joy and the Trini supporters as well as the ones who doubted are now looking at us with a little more respect...all thanks to Shaka Hislop and Dwight Yorke. I guess i infected everyone of my customers with football fever because i have them watching now....even if it means watching the spanish stations on mute. Some of the guys are trying to get off work early to get home in time for the US match. El juego del mundial is becoming popular in the US as well. I hope the team does well!
The Japanese are playing well. never thought i would say that but they are making the aussies work real hard. and i like the aussies too. The game is full of surprises. we happened to be the first big surprise.
an indian guy just came in the store. Looked as if he was from trinidad so i asked him and he said he was from india....then he added, "but we look the same."

Okay, back to the match......and about an hour later....
Australia scored in the 85th minute, the 87th minute and in the extra time. Three goals in six minutes!!!!!!!!!! All we needed to watch was the last 10 minutes of play really. The spanish commentator from "Despierta America" said the game was "SUPER abburido." I agree with him. Super Boring!
One of my very good customers told me that i must support the US team because he and his friends over at the college rooted for Trinidad on Saturday. I will support the US. I better get to work. The game starts in 45 minutes. The customers say that i am smiling from ear to ear and they are leaving very happy too. a few of them say that i am happier than i usually am....I must be really really happy then! ...i better go back to infecting as much people as i can with football fever.

In other news, I am sorely disappointed with the Miami Heat's performance in the NBA finals. I hope they win at least one game...for Pat Riley's sake. Shaq O'Neil is not playing well at all! Missed his shots. This is not like him. I hope they do better in the next game. Okay.....i'm excited again... taping this game for the boss too. He might miss the first half.
