The Cup's biggest Victory and analysis of Trinidad & Tobago vs.England

I just saw Argentina score 6 whopping goals against Serbia and Montenegro. This was one heck of a game! Now Argentina is just really strong and Serbia was doing well until they got a red card and their captain was taken off. I felt sorry for them but I really like three South American teams for this World Cup...Ecuador (the shaman is working!), Argentina, and my favorite as of two days ago, Brasil. Really do not want Germany to win anymore even though I liked their team. Argentina played like the pros that they are today. they played like how Argentina played when Diego Maradona played on their team.
After watching Brasil play, I realized that I wanted a team that shows the real spirit of the game to win. The Brasilians make the game look like an art, or a child's game. They really play with the innocence of children and they do so fabulous footwork with the ball. When they play, they only do one thing: Follow the ball. Wherever the ball goes, they go as well. That is why, their defense ends up in the goal box, etc.
I saw this spirit with my TnT as well. Yesterday, they played with so much enthusiasm. When our anthem played, all of our players sang heartily and proudly. I felt my heart contract when they sang yesterday. I was happy for them. No, we didn't win but I am so proud of them. Never really realized that football was such a passion in Trinidad until yesterday's game. Even my mom was sitting on the edge of her chair....and she is Guyanese! I recorded the game in spanish at the store while I went home to watch it in English. This morning I looked at the Spanish commentary of the game.
Major difference. The game in English/ American commentators made the game sound so so boring. In the Spanish game, the commentators got excited and began to say, "Shaka, Shaka, Shaka..." when Hislop made his saves. It was so much more electrifying to see it in Spanish. In yesterday's game, we got 5 yellow cards...FIVE FREAKING YELLOW CARDS! even Shaka got a yellow card...for doing what Trinis do best....wasting time=0). Really, i think it was uncalled for, he wasn't wasting time...he was setting up the ball for a kick. our team plays strong defense and with five yellow cards, they needed to calm down their defense before they ended up with a player or two less. Our coach only made one substitution when we could have used all three. Our men were beginning to get tired in the 80th minute and it was showing. England scored in the 82nd minute but I was proud of Trinbago. Then almost at the end, England scored again. I do not mind though. We stood up against England really really well.
And i went: "Arriba Arriba con mi bandera!!!!!" (Get Up, get up with my flag!)
Now, for how much we love this game.....On Saturday, after the game, three people in Trinidad suffered heart attacks AND died!!! I am pretty sure no one expected that we would have done as well as we did. That made it to my bizarre news of the day. Imagine what will happen if we win the world cup!!!! he he he.....50% of the population may suffer heart attacks...including me! not saying that they aren't good enough but from the joy of it. too much happiness can be fatal sometimes...as we trinis proved it. =0) I took the pic at the store earlier in the morning ...over at the coffee station. Furgie's only comment was, "how come it lookin' so clean there?" she never once saw me in the picture. and yes furgie, i actually do work when i am there!!! (in the half time of the games and in the hour between the next games=0) fuming now! Then the second comment, "you took my digicam to inpak?" to which i said, "no crackhead, I used my phone!" lol.
